amazing.

He was about 60 years old, he is still bloody amazing! haha

@pppsssssssss Amen to that... plus that 'crunch' is what makes some of the strong sections this piece e.g. the down bow multistops, so effin' pwnage :)

If you read my other comments I say that at the back of the hall it probably sounds good. I'm sorry you disagree.... and speaking of "seeing Zuckerman in concert". I studied with the guy for 2 different summers. He's a cocky son-of-a-bitch. (Maybe the word "grotesque" I used was a little strong, but I'm comparing him to the great violinists of our time and compared to them... it is not very good. Sorry. Listen to Anne Sofie Mutter play the same piece.

This is one of the most absurd statements i have ever heard. Zukerman is sitll in the top of his form...I heard him play the Brahms, Mendelssohn just this year, and it was absolutely wonderful. NO "STUDENT" violinist can perform like him.
You claim you are a 'symphony' player...then you should know during these televised concerts, that the mics are placed very close to the soloist, and if you ever saw Zukerman in concert, you would know that the "crunch" is not what you hear in the hall.

Haha look how the woman at the back of the orchestra is enjoying it

Bravo! Zukerman's Bruch is very powerful. His left hand is fleet-fingered and as usual his bow arm is quite smashing!
