Man, it's great to see that Dickey's family (literally and methaphorically) still rocks! Nothing can beat the sound that can produce only a man happy of playing!

Dicky your one of my favorites keep on going brother!

Whats with Dickeys boy Duane any how? Every time I see him on a vid he seems to be farting around and really not into playing on stage with his old man. Maybe your boy prefers to be in school or some place else Dickey....

@steelermule well thats just bullshit man.

@DVI321 Well Said! Can you really put your finger on the best I mean the without a question very best? And if you can (and you CAN'T) who cares. The best guitar players in the world make you feel the music. Warren, Derek, Dickey, Duane, Jimi Eric, B.B. they all do that. Their words are their notes. If you don't believe me listen Little Martha.

Damn, I am so sick of people comparing Dickey to Warren, Derek to Duane, Warren to Derek, etc. You have completely missed the point. Its all about being in the here and now, hittin' the note purely and honestly. All these players are fantastic and bring their own tricks to the table. Rating guitar players is so pointless, and so are most of your comments.

derek trucks is boring, no showmanship whatsoever, put on Estaban hat & shades or something,he wouldnt be there if Butchie wasnt his uncle.

Saw him and them at the paramount center for the Arts in Peekskill, NY, at a benefit concert tour to rebuild firehouses in New Orleans after Katrina.
Their performance was FANTASTIC , crowd loved them, dancing in the aisles
No one has a better right to this playlist..Ramblin Man, et al

um . . . if you like heavy gain/distortion, great southern has a way more "original" abb sound

No respect against Warren Haines, but with D.Trucks and this guy....cool reeeel coool.
3 guit-fiddle pickers...in the ABB? wth!
In New York City, a place where Dickey Betts had had many great achievements, he played what will possibly become his last touring date on December 12, his 66th birthday.
"Im not retiring from playing. Im sure there will be some great special events that Ill be at in the future. But for now, I look forward to waking up tomorrow with nothing on my schedule."
After more than 40 years of constant touring its time for a well deserved break.
