This is a similar setup as I had on my '01 GT. No mods, just exhaust. Didn't need to kill myself, just wanted something that looked and sounded sweet.

@grasshopper0223 you're going to love the difference, I also switched from super 44's to borla stingers. Check out my exhaust video

@AbrahamP411 same here for me except I have a bbk o/r x-pipe. Stingers should be here in a couple of days......switching from super 44 flowmasters.

How much did this setup cost you?

@Copen70 Well, the Pypes mid-pipe was a tad under 200 and the Borla cat-back was around 700. Sounds pricy but its all stainless steel and should last a long time. However, the Pypes mid-pipe was a leaking whore so I upgraded to the Magnaflow Tru-X off road mid for 375. Way better. Before I replaced, I tacked the Pypes, removed, then fully welded. I still have it if anyone would be interested. I'd cut a real good deal...

@GTMustang2k Thanks bro.Tell you how to fix yours. Take it off and scrap it. Go to American Muscle.com and buy the Magnaflow Tru-X off road mid-pipe. Its also stainless steel, a one piece design, and guaranteed leak free. Costs a little more but worth every penny. Sounds almost exactly like the Pypes except for no leaks and seems to be a bit louder/deeper. Save the metal gasket that slips into the drivers side down pipe. My Magnaflow didn't come with one and is still needed.

i heard the pypes x-pipe is a bitch to put on... what did you have to do to make it fit right?

Ended up taking to shop to have mid-pipe fully welded. Also, pipe from passenger side manifold to "X" had to be put into pipe bender and bent down about an inch. Still leaks a little in couple spots. Planning on tearing off entire exhaust this spring and do whatever it takes to get back on, leak free. Sounds so much better in person, minus the leaks. PYPES O/R X sound great, are stainless, are cheap, but fit like a monkey bent the tubing.
