Captain Dale "Snort" Snodgrass and Ed Shipley fly formation and individual passes in their F-86 Sabres. Consider that they were flying during the middle of a noreaster makes it even more amazing. But look at how low Shipley's jet gets at the 1:25 mark. That's low no matter what the weather.

  • Would give it so much more stars if it was possible.

  • The Sabre is the kind of jet you can do this in and not crash. IMHO!

I forgot which famous pilot said, that of all the craft

he has flown the Sabre was the best and " felt like an extension of my body."

  • Ed was not being reckless. Both pilots in the video are professionals at flying at very low altitudes and at those speeds and Ed's wingtip was probably no more than ten feet off the ground at the time.

  • Unfair comment, you can't see the ground from where you are, impossible to say how low he is.

I flew several warbirds with Ed, he's amongst the bests.

  • 1:25 Shipley low: very unprofessional. he either misjudged or was being reckless. This is the stuff of mishaps!
