2006+ Civic Si - 3rd Gear Recall

2006+ Honda Civic Si owners getting some much needed media attention from Fox News regarding the inherent problem with 3rd Gear. Affects all 6-speed Honda transmissions (S2000, K20 Civic Si, RSX Type-S, Acura CL Type-S, 2008+ Accord 6-speed)

@soyntgo4it it's only for 06 and 07 model's i myself have an 07 and yes 3rd gear does pop out but once you drive the car you can understand the problem and once it pops out you would have to double clutch the rev match for in to go straight back into the gear with no grind.

Wahhh I say stop beating on your damn car then.. Have an 08 Si haven't had an issue at all.. Buyers regret apparently.

my si has a problem shifting into sometimes..it doesnt pop out but it makes me grind sometimes..i told honda about it and they say its fine..till today it still has problems shifting into gear..this is my last yr of warranty...i think i might just blow out the tranny to get it fix huh>? what u think?

first off, this guy on the news is a goof,

it was a small mistake, honda civic 06 and up are not horrible cars

my honda is awesome

BUT i do have similar problem

thats why if honda wont fix their problem sue them!

@15152020koj when you put it on 3rd just hold the shifter there then as soon as you hit 3k rpm shift to 4th right away. i even do cluthless shifting and it works fine but sometimes it's really hard to put on 3rd but you will get used to it

just slam it into 3rd gear and it will go mine does it too but you will get used to it

My si have grinds on 3rd and 4th gears. sometimes pop out on third too. f u c k honda
