@jmsbk12345 Look at Sonny Stitt on the Varitone. This sounds like something in the same ballpark.

Great musicianship. Awesome playing. I just wish they would foment their own music a little more. I remember McBride opening up for Shorter 15-7 years ago, and he sounded stuck in the early 60's -- now he's doing fusion redux. Boogie Woogie Waltz was great in 1972, but they've added nothing to it. It's not "fresh", especially for those who experienced WR live. Can't they think of something more compelling and convincing from their own generation?

That Drummer is amazing! And McBride doesn't even need to be commented on.

what is that effect or pedal the sax player is using?

Wonderful music, great drum solo, fresh and exciting.

The purpose isn't to show off, It's to say something. I get to see terreon play a lot, and he always has something to say on the drums. In this solo thats what he was saying.

Yup, they're great... I've seen them recently live and it was awesome.
They maybe can sb remind Wheater report, but I think, that their sound is far away from them. ;)
