  • Hello Richard,

do you know what the red sign with the heart says ? (@ 1:14) thx

I'd rather go blind & deaf rather than not staying 'til the end xD

  • @Twinturb069 I'm surprised no one has commented on the sign yet, it's everywhere in Japan this year. For those of you learning Japanese have a try at reading it, and posting the answer here... it's really simple!

  • nice fireworks, may i know where is this? I mean, if that in Tokyo where is the specific place? and when You see that fireworks???

  • @anggaraluna Ohori Koen in Fukuoka, Kyushu. It's written in the title of the video ; ) But they do have them * everywhere * in Summer!

  • Figured it out! And I din't look at the comments, woo! I recognized the last two character as kanji because I learned how to spell Japanese (as the language, nihongo (ni - hon - go) "ni" and "hon" being the last two kanji. the third is a hiragana character as a ten-ten (as the first character also, meaning softening marks) It took me about five minutes but I finally got it as Ganbarou nippon which is a food marketing thing they set up after the earthquake? Yeah, anyway, I'm proud of myself :D

  • @GenkiJapanNet It means "ganbarou nihon" I believe. Am I corrrect?

  • Fireworks are soo expensive thousands of dollars per explosion

  • I think I only understanded "ganbarou-------" but im not even sure myself since ive been starting learning japanese myself about a year ago but still got a looot to learn.

  • @Twinturb069 Ganbarou Nihon is written in the red sign. Something like "be strong Japan!" I am not English so I don't know exactly the sentence used in English to encourage people.

  • Don't talk now ! Just watch the splendid fireworks ! You missing it ! lol

  • ganbaro, nippon! :D

    Let's do our best, Japan!

btw: do you know if My Japanese Coach (DS) is a good Japanese teaching game? :)

    日本での楽しい時を過す!:)

  • The sign, "がんばろう日本" (Ganbarou Nippon), means "Do your best, Japan!" or "Stay strong, Japan!" There are a few different ways that it can translate. But I believe it's become a national slogan.

  • @GenkiJapanNet

    Isn't it Ganbarou Nippon?

I've known about some project for the tsunami where a lot of people made a song for it. And it's what I make out of reading it!
