I always thought it had theme of capitalism in America as when you already have a car people want a new one and take a loan and then blame banks for going bankrupt when it is people whom never say no, to give loan as it is all part of a cycle. Government keeps banks or car companies in business to keep people falsely employed as if government is paying, but no one is buying, as more of business in America is now leases, then it is socialism to a degree, but do not tell anyone.

I've just about finished reading "Oliver Twist" (read this about 25 yrs ago). In the book, the boys are starving & draw straws to see who "has to go". One less mouth means more food for the boys. It's funny, the matron & Mr Bumble later marry & get in trouble BUT ultimately assist in returning Oliver to his family. I love that voice coming out of Mr. Bumble. Thanks for posting.

"Oliver Twist mister Bumble, you named him so yourself."
"So that's who he is.
I really have to stop naming kids...... causes nothing but trouble and giving them feelings they have rights as individuals."

"Please sir, I want some more."
"What?"
"Please sir, I want some more?"
"MORE?! Okay sure, here you go."
"Wait- really? You're not gonna punish me or yell at me or sing about what's wrong with me?"
"What? No! All you did was ask for more food."
"Then why did you yell more?"
"Well, honestly because nobody else has ever asked for more before. I was kinda surprised. I mean, everyone acts like wanting more is a sin on something."

Somehow, the "God is Love" poster in the background makes this scene a lot more ironic.
