This is the making of a seating project for the National Museum Of Ireland Country Living in Castlebar, Co Mayo. Designed and Handmade by Eric O'Donnell while a student at Letterfrack Furniture and design College. Eric is a Furniture designer, Cabinet maker and Artist, He is currently working on an Installation sculpture exhibition due to be finished this summer. Eric founded Design Onion with Ronan Lowery before taking a step back to pursue other projects. He will soon be embarking on a european tour with his work.

  • I'm really impressed with the amount of thought that went into each step, the sections, the full height pieces at the ends, but especially the false floor, which gave it that perfect seat surface profile.
