you broke up with me? a rant to my glasses

wait. you're leaving me? and you're doing it in the middle of the night? you're just going to sneak out on me? i don't understand it. i loved you. you complimented me all the time, you know? you loved the whole 'sexy librarian' thing, and we pulled that off together okay, i thought. i mean, you said "forever". but i guess you were just lying to me. i could always depend on you, and i thanked you and carried you around in a fabulous green faux-alligator-skin-case. you know? it was great. we've had a great run. please, don't leave me. i thought... FINE. YOU KNOW WHAT? I DON'T NEED YOU. I'LL FIND ANOTHER PAIR. THEY CAN GO WITH ME TO NEW YORK INSTEAD AND YOU CAN STAY IN SAINT LOUIS FOREVER AND I HOPE YOU DIE.
