  • if i buy a e46 bmw without a satnav, is it possible for me to install one?

  • @londoncars1 yeah. i did it. the write up in on e46fanatics

  • Do you know how to change the display on the climate control to degrees C instead of Fareneight?

  • @CockWomble I think the button that sets the clock on the odometer also changes the European/US Display modes. So one will show the military UK style time and the Celsius and pushing the button when the clock is shown on the odometer will set it to US mode showing AM/PM time and Farenheit.

I believe the HVAC unit will automatically adjust to mirror this change,

  • how do you turn it off?

  • There is no OFF button for the HVAC unit but you can disable it three ways:

You can take the key out the ignition OR you can turn AUTO to OFF or you can turn the fan speed down until it is OFF.

  • I've got an 1997 E36 with full auto in the same style.

  • @olaf2046 Thanks very much, worked a treat :)

  • Just to clarify, auto means that the car will automatically adjust where the air is being blown (windows, feet, face). The difference between "full auto" and auto is that "full auto" also adjusts the air speed or intensity on it's own, while auto is manually set by the driver.

  • @visvire I assumed someone smart enough to earn a drivers license would think that blue is cold and red is hot. I mean we all learn that when we are like 1 years old in the tub and use that skill everytime we take a bath.

In the 10 minutes you tube allows I don't have time to cater to all spectrum of people that don't have a clue. At the end of the day read the manual (RTFM) and it is only a car not a spaceship so everythingf should be common sense.
