Explore the consequences of a meat diet. Are we really designed to be omnivores? Or does a plant based diet suit us best?

  • That's great infosauce, but you really should do some more research before you jump into that next burger. Just look at our teeth they're square like a horses. Humans are omnivores. Another thing to look at is our digestive tract which is very long as compared to a carnivorous animal like a Hyena which has a digestive tract only a couple feet long. The meat is eaten then expelled very quickly, but in humans it sits and rots for days releasing toxins into the body not to mention all the hormones

  • Great comment Aquariansevenone. The square teeth and long digestive tract are truly undeniable.

I have been on a vegan diet since posting this, and I must say, I feel absolutely wonderful.

  • I also think you become more intuitive less aggressive and much more in touch with your spiritual self. Not to mention you are making a difference in the world at least 3 times a day (depending on how many meals you eat). Cheers

  • Indeed, this has been the case, I feel much more connected.

  • I hate when vegetarians call themselves, "vegetarians" while they're eating fish. lol.

  • Anybody that eats ANY kind of flesh is not a vegetarian. "VEGETARIAN" the name says it all. No meat. None. Zero Zip Zilch Nada. If there was a Christ and he ate fish then he was not vegetarian. Then there are the Vegans and they take being a vegetarian to the next level.

  • in-congruence in body language is when someone is saying something and his body movement is saying something else. like in 5:28 the guy is not telling the truth because he is shaking his head "NOOO" when he was saying a main point.

  • I dunno, I just don't agree with everything he says, like, dairy products can be healthy and beneficial to ones health if consumed in moderation ...it's the dairy products that have been processed which are bad for you...and also, meat can also be healthy depending on what types and how much of it you consume...it's just the processed meat and shit which is bad...

  • Damn!! This is a great video! Stop the beef and pork in 1991. Stopped the chicken in 2008. I was doing a minimal amount of fish, but since British Petroleum unleashed it's devastation on our oceans I've had one piece this year. (babysteps) I'm almost there.

  • @BakuhatsuShojo Fish eaters are piscertarians.

  • I used to be vegetarian. I now eat fish and poultry. When it comes to whether we are 'made' to eat meat I always think abou what one of Malcom X's friends said to him for calling him a swine eater. He said "If it weren't for the pig I'm sure neither one of us would be here arguing about it because one of our ancestors surely would have starved to death". Peace!

  • I notice that in his attempts to correlate meat consumption with declines in overall physical health, he totally avoids mentioning that, in the same period that we went from eating lots of grains and potatoes, (all starches that turn to instant sugar in your bloodstream, which is BAD, unless you are VERY physically active), that we also started a related decline in physical activity. If you are less and less active, you get less and less healthy.

  • His example, 'Mr. Phillips', if he had been a physically active individual, instead of a sedentary, obese, diabetic, would NOT have had that high a level of blood-borne lipids, (fat).

Don't believe anything just because someone who's first name is "Doctor", tells you it's gospel.

  • thank you;)

  • I think it all depends on who you ask. If you watch the video: "Sugar: The bitter truth" the speaker shows why saturated fat doesn't clog arteries, the high amounts of sugar we have in our diets is what is really killing us.

  • whats the name of this guy?
