  • Why has every egyptologist that has examined the actual papyri concluded that it is a common funerary text, and Joe was way off. They must all coincidentally have a plot against mormons Haha jk. No wonder why the church has the paper vaulted in church hq.

  • @fairldsorg

How can that be, when they have nothing to do with Abraham?

  • @sneedledout Vaulted away? There many scrolls and most were burned in the Chicago fire. Those that survive are avaliable online to see. If they are locked away in the vault it is most likely due to the historical value and in an effort to not damage them. Is the smithsonian covering up things by having a very large off-limits collections?

  • "highly technical" Yeah, you're way too smart for me. Oh, wait... I'm supposed to buy into your "challenging set of facts" by faith.

  • @LDSapologist71

You said, "God wants us to find him using FAITH as the tool...Try personal prayer to seek the truth."

Great.... except: every religion uses faith as their tool, and most pray and have "answers" to prayers just like Mormons claim to. So, by your method, ALL religions are true.

    Try again...

  • @Kaileo2 Are you an Egyptologist?

  • @Kaileo2 Actually, Egyptologists are agreeing that Joseph Smith actually got quite a bit right with the facsimiles. We are producing a video on it as we speak and will post it asap. Stay tuned.

  • @LDSapologist71

Fine, now explain why the facsimiles as interpreted by Smith are nothing like what Egyptologists say they are.

  • @sneedledout You mean like LDS Egyptologists also who have identified it as the same? The thing your not understanding is the "common" Egyptian usage does not consider "variations" in Egyptian usage. In other words, non-LDS scholars haven't actually been looking to see if there is any relation to the BOA with Egyptian knowledge. LDS scholars have been, and there is ALOT that has been found. Joseph has been found to be absolutely right in many instances. That is "why"....

  • President Byers said, "The Chinese members have sometimes felt misplaced in local wards. Some members have never given a talk or shared their testimony publicly because they do not feel confident or comfortable in that setting."

  • President Greg Byers, center, of the new Yale Branch, Irvine California Stake, is accompanied by counselors Morgan Ying, left, and Jared Ong.
