I live about a mile away from that camp on north 2 nd and about to be evicted. Hope I don't end up like these people.Makes me cry!
-
police do what they want, not what they are paid to do

I've been homeless before not to the extent these people have, but we all have that kindred connection. this blf person is probably just a poser. I wouldn't be surprised if this group of people kicked him out for his douchebaggery. there probably wasn't anyways for the city to capitalize by allowing the homeless to stay so they bulldozed the away. why were these people not arrested for defecating in public?
-
@sandra44035 Agreed!
If there's no equality in law, then there is no law.
And if anyone claims ownership of the river, I'd like to see the 'chain of ownership' back to the creator of that river. If they can't show that, then they have no claim.
-
So, one can not legally dump anything into the rivers and water ways, but the city can push everything into the river.
-
Aren't there laws against theft and destruction of personal property?
-
By leave of God... you homeless people have the right to extract justice from those police... by force! They have violated your right to survival... you have every right to violate theirs!
-
Im not worried.... Within the next five years this country is going to experience a depression that will make the 1930's seem like a picinic... And when the bulldozers and police show up it will be dead heavy equipment operators and cops floating down that river....
Oh and I wouldnt worry too much about becoming homeless, there will be plenty of vacant McMansions in which to squat in..... Be pretty funny watching them bulldoze the banks property....lol

Pretty heartless to treat the homeless in this fashion.
I have been living in a tent for nearly three years now. I know how they treat such persons personally.
-
Honestly, I'd live in this tent city, before I'd even consider moving into a gated subdivision with all its rules and ordinances.
By the way, blf, there isn't an apartment complex anywhere near this location - the area is bordered by a cement plant to the north and a DHS food stamp office to the south, so before you start pointing the finger, at least get your facts and landmarks straight.

Some laws are put in place solely to harass those who experience homelessness, so don't throw that ridiculous, rigid bullshit in the faces of those who are suffering. And since you're so knowledgeable about the homeless, I wonder why it is you didn't mention that the city has a policy of notifying homeless peeps 24 hours prior to closing a camp. These folks got about 5 minutes. Take a look at the 1500 blog posts I've written and you'll clearly see I hold peeps responsible for their actions.

Bluelinefever is a perfect example of the ignorance and prejudice surrounding people without homes. In a city where only two - 2 - public bathrooms exist and the gentrification of the area has eradicated all affordable housing, BLF chooses instead to point the finger at the poor, who have no options at all for finding a place to live. let's hope BLF doesn't one day wind up homeless; it'll be a real eye opener and bathrooms will be the least of the worry.
