  • MIT picked an unfortunate acronym for this interesting technology, googling for "nasa spheres" turns up nearly exclusively UFO crackpottery.

  • They're still a bit slow. But once that is solved, they could be a useful tool, for transporting stuff inside a space station.

    I guess at their current speed they could, after being hardened for space, already be used for some (camera) work outside the station.
