I love the original - had the pleasure of seeing it
performed LIVE once!
the Photek mix - you KNOW I'm a
"hard back Rupert man!",
and this remix just the same.
The amens are CRAZY in this, as are the strings,
extra samples, even backwinds!

Nobukazu Takemura is a Japanses DJ/artist,
he had one of the earliest releases on Mo' Wax Records
(DJ Takemura "Hoping For The Sun", 1993).
Takemura is also the creator of
ALL the sounds for the toy
robot dog Aibo made by Sony!
He remixed the ambient/trip-hop group
Skylab's famous track "Seashell" in 1995.

The video is a slowed down, then reversed version
of the original video (it's already "remixed", in a sense!;).
Check it at about 5:08 for a pretty cool "ghost" effect.
I wanted to do something more to it,
but I still have an almost completely full hard drive,
so none of my usual video remixing can be done,
until I can save up for a Terabyte or so... *sigh*

Quite nice but the percussion isn't particualrly tight with the sample (some of it is wayyy out) -it sounds more like someone is mixing in/out of brown paper bag rather than an actual remix.

Thanks for posting this. It's always been one of my all-time favorite remixes of any track. Takemura-sensei can be difficult for a lot of people to digest, but his genius stands on it's own merit for those that care to give it the proper ears. Cheers!
