Taken on Friday, June 4, 2010 I went to Kipling GO station with Eric (yurysausage) to film some trains. In this part 1 you will see the Obico Yard job doing some switching with the Intermodal cars with the power of a CP Rail EMD GP9u and a CP Rail SW900 Yard slug!! This is now the new power for the Obico Yard job for assembling the Intermodal train!! When I saw this train while I was pulling into the Kipling TTC parking lot, I was running like hell as I saw this engine pulling out of Obico Yard because I thought it was leaving and not switching so I got there just in the nick of time and I caught it once going back and forth so it was actually switching for a bit and then 2 other CP Rail engines took over the assembled train and it became CP 230 from Obico Yard to Toronto Yard and the video will be in Part 2 (the last part). The last time I got a CP Rail SW900 Yard slug switcher was on my old camcorder in August 2009 at Index Rd. Also if you look closely, the CP Rail SW900 Yard slug has a smiley face painted on the front of the engine!! The eyes are the number boards and the face is the front! :P Finally, GO 163 (the last GO train) is arriving into Kipling GO station from Toronto Union Station and is making all station stops to Milton, and then it goes into the Milton Yard in Mississauga. Anyway, this is all I got for part 1 and part 2 will have CP 230 from Obico Yard to Toronto Yard. Enjoy! :D
