Sometimes you just have to BE PETTY with MLB

Yes I'm being Petty about convincing MLB to let me swing their wood-painted pink bat on a Mother's Day at one of their Major League Baseball Stadiums.

Sometimes you just have to Be Petty when you're on a mission to do the right thing. And for me that right thing is being a real live breast cancer survivor who is also a real live baseball player who should get a plate appearance from MLB to swing my own pink bat.

So go ahead. Google "2010 MLB Honorary Pink Bat Girl Contest" and vote for me "A Real Live Pink Bat" as I try to win the contest for the Los Angeles Dodgers. You can vote as many times as you want. Just do it. Just Be Petty about it.

My Las Vegas Sandpipers men's team is voting, my #1 fan Lila Clark is voting, my #2 fan David Handler is voting and all my friends and family are voting too. Why? Because it's the right thing to do and it brings me one step towards the batter's box closer to convincing Major League Baseball that I should get a real live plate appearance to do the right swing for breast cancer awareness and women in sports.

So yes. Be Petty. Be Very Petty about MLB. And then come join me at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the Richard Petty Driving Experience. I'm gunning down the baseball track as fast as I can. This time at speeds of 160+ mph as a passenger in a real live NASCAR racing machine.

You know what too? My driver's mom had breast cancer. I was surprise to hear that from him and he made my day on March 13, 2010 as we sped around the track. I am proud to be a real live symbol of hope and inspiration for all.
