---PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION FOR CHARACTER GUIDE---

"We're not tools... We are hope!"

Firion, ahh, one of the characters from Final Fantasy II, a game that I haven't played all too much but the stat levelling system sure made what I did play pretty easy. In the game, everyone can pretty much do everything, equip everything, use all the magics and do anything they darn well please. In Dissidia, Firion is portrayed more along the lines of the fact he could equip any weapon as his character shows him wearing all of the weapons he uses in battle.

Note (please): In this video, some of the HP attacks Zidane got in, like the Stellar Circle thingy, I planned to get hit by so that I could show you the power of blood weapon's healage etc. But I'm not going to blame that on the fact that I sucked a lot at times in this video (it wasn't ALL planned) I was just hoping to show off shield bash, which I didn't. Stupid Zidane barely used any BRV attacks that would hit me. Ah well, if you request to see his shield bash for whatever picky reason) I shall find time to make a video on it.

Basic crackdown for Firion:
+ His speed and jump are a little above average despite him carrying all them weapons and attacking speed is considerably better than some of the players in Dissidia.
+ His EXMode is pure brilliance, every HP attack you do restores exactly how much damage you inflicted to yourself as well as still going through with the damage, making Firion a very durable character indeed!
+ His ground attacks, at least the ones I use anyway, have HP branching combos where you can do the BRV attack and then do a move called double trouble straight after, thus making BRV gaining very easy.

- His ariel attacks are questionable, slightly effective but no where near as good as his ground moves. The only move to note in the air (of both HP and BRV) is WeaponMaster HP attack.
- EXBurst command isn't really hard but there are often times when you accidentally input the wrong command due to the pressure of the time limit.
- StraightArrow, your starter HP move, can leave yourself very open, might cause a problem for some players.

Indepth Firion guide:

Right, so you'd expect him to be an all rounder, he is not! He has three magic BRV attacks, level 1 magic spells that just suck really, I guess if you have any, have blizzard. Also, in the air, I find Firion is pretty much useless, blocking and dodging is your best bet when on the defensive in the air, attacking is also quite annoying but it's worth noting that the WeaponMaster HP move you'll eventually learn improves the offensive part of being in the air considerably.

Ground defense is really quite immense, excuse the little poem. Not only is he really quite speedy on his feet for dodging, after a while you'll learn a very handy HP attack that renders blocking useless. This move is Shield Bash, I mean come on! Such a great move, basically, when you trigger the move and the opponent sends a BRV attack your way and you bash it in time, you are left undamaged AND you send a HP attack right back at them! If the opponent is far away, Firion will shield bash by sending a fireball, chink of ice and string of thunder towards them whereas if they're close, Firion with throw knives at them. This, along with the moves he has that branch into HP moves makes ground offense and defense really really good!

Firion can equip anything, weapon wise, as long as it's not an exclusive weapon for someone else. Other than that he can equip: Shields, Light Armour, Helms, Hats, Clothing, Bangles.

In my opinion, Firion is a great character in terms of balance. The fact that he has been made to have a fantastic EXBurst added effect (as well as regen o.O) and great ground moves, makes you gladly accept the disadvantage you're at in the air (and even then you have weapon master, nice!). Have fun with this guy, in terms of abilities in the game, speed boost and jump boost aren't crucial, though if you have to pick one or the other, jump boost would be advised. The Counterattack ability is great for him! Put it on as soon as you get it (Shield bash is a counterattack and the ability powers the critical damage rate of counters).
