They chose the perfect Liesel- Charmian was just perfect when compared the this girl above who is quite amateur in comparison. I was always disappointed that Charmian never really pursued acting.

I'm actually a big fan of this actress. She does a great job and puts a completely different spin on Liesel...but I like Charmian Carr better, at least as Liesel.

Maybe instead of judging him you should see him in Hello, Dolly! He is a very talented actor, dancer, and singer. He was better suited for that movie. And I highly disagree, he was very cute. So sad he died at a young age :(

The man auditioning for Roulph, Danny Lockin. He was best known for Barnaby Tucker in "Hello, Dolly!". If you like "The Sound of Music", then you should check it out :)

I agree, Charmian Carr who was chosen was absolutely outstanding.
