Halloween is one of the strangest holidays mankind celebrates. It is an amazing paradox, an unusual mixture of Christian terms and ancient pagan religious rites.

  • So, pretty much, God is throwing every kid in America into a lake of Fire?

  • @MysticChibiTigerGirl, the answer is no. Revelation 12:9 Satan has deceived the whole world. For now they are blinded accept for those that God removes the blindfold. The rest of mankind will wake up in a great resurrection (Rev 20:5). They will be taught God's way and have a choice just like Adam and Eve. If they choose the Tree of Life then they will eventually be born into the Kingdom of God (Rev 21). Those that do not will be thrown in the Lake of Fire and become ashes.

  • Bah, this is childish. Halloween is just fine. The true evil is the fact that people can believe in a "loving" god that sends you to hell for eternity. Bollocks.

  • God is Love. Those that ultimately do not follow God will be thrown in a Lake of Fire and they will be gone forever not burn forever as Malachi 4:3 says:

You shall trample the wicked, For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet.....Actually this is love for God's kingdom will be a system that's free from sin resulting in peace for eternity.

  • The truth of the matter is that regardless of how you look at it, it is demonic. The world dresses it up to make it look like its about candy and playing dress up. But in reality its a way to convince us to partake in their festivities. Although we have freedom of choice, the reality is when you choose to celebrate any Holiday you cannot change the original meaning or intent. The only person you are fooling is yourself.

  • Anointed1saved4life, very well said.

  • @DominicanVale08, I think it's neat how you believe that allowing kids to dress up and have fun, eat candy, and go play with their friends is pure evil. What an interesting view of the world you must have, and narrow.

See, me, I've been in combat, and I've seen real evil .And you know what? The most violent people I've ever seen do things in the name of a God, I've seen many Christians following OT rules in 3rd world countries, just like a scary amount of Islamic followers.

  • Samhain's purpose was to celebrate the beginning of a new Celtic year which started by the "dark season" on the Automn equinox, when days and nights have the same duration. Guess what? Equinox, on our modern calendar, is around September 22nd or 23rd. Certainly not in october.

Last but not least, the celebration lasted around 5 days, more than one night!

Halloween is just a vague rememberance of this Celtic culture.

The fear of the dark is universal.

  • "Ancients druids believed on OCTOBER 31st they were visited by demons". Please give me the reference you had for the date, one of the biggest lie in history.

    - Samhain was celebrated by the Celts who spread throughout Europe in the 5th century B.C.

    - "october" is a name of a month in the Roman calendar created centuries later (around 45 B.C.)

In conclusion, Samain was not made after the Roman calendar.

You can say: but that's the exact date for Samain. Ok, see my next comment, please.

  • Druids didn't just worship demons, they were FALLEN ANGELS themselves that kept migrating further into seclusion as Christianity and the Light of Christ spread. They're still probably somewhere in the world today.

  • You should consider that Christianity is based on pagan religions, one of which was the Greek religion. The Roman empire took over Greece after the Greeks had become a farming culure. At first the Romans renamed all of the gods and tried to write new myths with the aquired religion. The Christian God is adapted from Zeus, the ruler of the sky. The Satan character is a changed Hades(he was not bad). The influence of Greek culture is evident in their pottery and art from that time period as well.

  • This is supposed to be funny, right?

  • Yes celebrate Halloween its fun for all and especially kids.
