i'm a 56 year old guy who barely remembers when my dad used to take me to the train station at age3 or 4 during the mid-50's. i can still remember the old steamers still around amid new diesels. even at that early age i instinctively knew there was something more intriguing and mysterious about the iron horses over the dull, uninteresting electric diesels. the chuga, chuga sound of the steam engine coupled with the haunting howl of the steam whistle had a lasting impression on my young mind.
Very hard core!!! I was thinking about getting shots of this train at the Rock Creek bridge however, I passed up on it so I could get shots of it at the Tobin bridge instead.
Great Video 5*****

While I like the whistle sounds, I think the engineers were tooting it way too much that day. I'd much rather hear the engine working.
