  • This is such a sorry video. Coming from a Coach.

  • The demonstrator has terrible butterfly technique

  • @RSGuides577 one fly kick*

  • She is only doing fly kick per stroke rotation....

  • i got here from aligators suposidly eating dogs.

  • You need to kick once your hands reach you hips! not just drag them while coming out of water.

  • @Lordmark1234 Sir, i couldn't have said it any better. Well done.

  • @cwatenpool1

Yeh, 2 kicks per 1 stroke is the max I'd say, anything more and you lose the rolling motion.

Only way to increase speed is to:

    1) Increase speed of entire stroke (legs and arms in sync)

    2) Improve technique (more streamlined and efficient pulls)

    3) Increase stroke to breath ratio

    4) Keep a high level of stamina!!

  • you can improve the speed of your swim doing better

    the second kick.

  • When swimming butterfly, you want to get in as many kicks as possible because that will move you a long the water faster. But you have to make sure to keep the kicks in sync with the arms to keep the whole motion fluid or it will become very difficult to swim it and then you'd eventually break stroke. Resulting in bad body position.
