Buddha and the Pests' Guitar Rescue saves another wayward guitar. Check out the sad, little, 1980 Fender Lead II, which is frankensteined back to life. Guitar Emporium's master blaster-Mr. Steve Cooley gives the "Bear" a little test drive just to make sure it's all lined out. The non-stock tele-pickups make it a genuine "Twangathon Rex!"

  • No they are two Fender tele type single coils-They have a bit too much of a treble sound for me. The guitar was last seen happily twanging in a honky-tonk iin Louisville, KY.

  • I love your accent man, where are you located from lol? anyways, i always wished i had a rare guitar

  • @Ibik Hello Ibik, The accent is a slightly exagerated Kentucky accent for this character. My real accent varies depending on who I'm around. I'm from Kentucky and live here now, but spend most of my life further South: Louisiana, Texas, Fiji, Guam.....As for rare guitars, you can find them at yardsales. The lead II cost me $25 with case. I added the missing PU's, bridge and tailpiece. You've got to be a wise shopper.

  • whats the guitar in the back in the beginning?

  • @captainwerewolf It is the "Pizza Guitar" and is probably a Truetone or something similar. Here's a link to an article about that particular guitar. It was one of the first documented GuitarRescue's.

  • Not only does Colonel Sanders know about chicken, He can sure play some good licks

  • @cutiepie2468123 I think that's Burl Ives taking a break from taping "Frosty the Snowman!""

  • I got a lead I, and i modified a music master with tele pick ups

  • do i see a humbucker and a b-52 on mr cooley s lead II

  • How much do these usually go for?

  • @gregorylee888

Hmm, I think the pups in mine sound great. I have none of the problems you describe.

  • I own 8 of these ...great guitars ...you almost have to change pickups ...the stock pups were designed by Seymour Duncan for heavy rock ....they dont really sound that great clean or slightly overdriven ....and they were bad to whistle ....I have one that is standard a Lead I which out of all of them I have owned doesnt whistle or feedback ....same scale as a strat ....lot of folks think they are not ...put a ruler to it and you will see they are 25.5 !!! Great JOB !!! You sound like me !!!

  • Great video. I have a lead III but fortunately mine was primo when I got it, still is.

  • I love you amigo!

  • i have a lead ii i love it :D
