Holy crap, I did not see this video getting over 2 million views. That is insane. Obviously, I'm not active on here anymore. I disagree. Music, on its own, can be many things that poetry cannot possibly be. The great text-less symphonies of the great European masters are proof of this fact. However, rather than denigrating the art of poetry, which I also respect, I should like to say that, IMHO, the very best poems are often the ones that have a musical character such as this one.

The original assertion posted by "hendrix" was that "music is nothing without poetry." To which I responded, quite succinctly, that the best poetry is often musical. And that music, according to one's interpretation, could be more than poetry. That being said, I do not dispute the possibility of someone interpreting a symphony as a poem, which goes to prove my point that music can be many more things than poetry.
