@TheCountJames Honestly people can talk all the shit they want about BM being lo-fi, how its a way to hide our mistakes or that we sound like idiots in hallways and all that bullshit. FUCK THOSE PEOPLE WHO SAY THAT. Tape hiss, grain, keyboards, grimy Tremolo picking, hollow ghostly vocals, minimalistic drumming give Black Metal its ugly atmosphere. Its like watching 70's Horror movies on your old VCR and watching new Horror (If you can call it that) movies on a Blue-Ray player on an HD TV.

Some people just don't understand Xasthur. If you want fast "traditional" black metal, go look elsewhere.

If fast chaotic black metal is what's true then I'm a poser. These slow haunting ambient tracks create a rich atmosphere that can genrate all kinds of feelings when listening. I love "traditional" black metal but this form which Xasthur has helped create is truely incredible
