  • Thanks for the update on the day. I too feel like the hobby is growing but the only way to really know is to find out if pipe makers are selling more and if tobacco blenders are shipping more tins. By the way, that bit is called a half-saddle. Check out the line of pipes from Davidoff on the web. All the Davidoff pipes have that nice half saddle bit. Cheers.

  • Cool. Thanks for the tip on the "half-saddle" nomenclature. This puts Davidoff pipes on my radar ...and hopefully in my budget!

  • My state has similar smoking bans sadly, but we in massachusetts can still smoke in hookah bars, cigar bars and in some tobacco shops. Basically as long as 51% or more of the sales come from tobacco and the town or city allows it. Is that the same thing in Oregon can you smoke in cigar bars and hookah bars even with the smoking bans???

  • That is a nice bit on that Canadian. Gigi...whoda thunk it...

  • Spread the word! I think the winds they are a changing. Really nice pipe you got there. I like that Davidoff style bit. I had a look at some on a site in Italy. €23 for the pipe, €25 for shipping! They only need to drop it on to the toe of Italy, give it a kick and it would arrive here in the South of Spain. Where do they get these shipping charges from? So I was encouraged to hit the big red X in the corner of the screen.

    Cheers, Alan

  • The new pipe looks great!!

    Happy IPSD!

  • Nice looking pipe and the bit is cool too. thanks for sharing your experience out on IPSD sounded cool. Sounds like pipe smoking is soon to be the new fad lol watch out cigars. I think we are living in a renaissance at this very moment in time buddy.

  • The club that I go to meets at a banquet place. Since we pay a membership fee at each meeting, it's considered an exclusive club, not open to the public. So, we get to enjoy our pipes at the meeting.

  • I've got a Gigi bulldog, it was the first pipe I bought. I smoke it alot, one of my regulars. Pretty good pipes for the prices.

  • Unfortunately I didn't get to pick up a pipe at the local tobacconist due to the lack of variety. My local tobacconist also did not know about IPSD. I did get to pick up some of my favorite aromatic.
