Becca has been in and out of hospitals since march from the Gardasil put out by Merk. She has had severe abdominal pain and has suffered from pancreatitis.

I have afew words to say, and anyone who is reading comments please read this one, okay first off, gardisil is for SEXUALLY ACTIVE GIRLS, what girl is sexually active at the ages from 6-14, yes some are, about 1/4 of girls are. BUT listen here, I am a 13 year old girl, and I have had things done to me in the past, which I will not address. But anyway, I would not want a vaccine for this, because I WONT BE SEXUALLY ACTIVE FOR A LONG LONG TIME, nor should others

I am glad you are not going to be sexually active for a long long time, but please understand that the shot is designed to protect you from getting HPV, which means it is given BEFORE you become sexually active. That is why children your age and younger are getting the shots. Not because they are sexually active but because they will be one day.

But, please encourage your friends and family to stay sexually inactive, that is the only way to keep yourself 100% safe.

I can not help but think that all the scares about this vaccine are from the christian right who object to a vaccine against an STD! Some people die from flue vaccines some from allergy to pea nuts. When all the STD's are gone what will the christian right be able to scare us with next.

I understand what you are saying, but in this case it is not the case, and it is the same situation with several other girls and women. I have vaccinated all of my children, and continued with my daughter to get this one, but my feelings have changed since our experiences with this drug. I am not against all vaccines, just this one. The risk is just not worth the possible benifits. Check it out. This is just our experience, my daughter is not the only one!

I am sorry about your daughter. I dont understand your comment about other vaccines. Dont you know that there are as many mothers with sick babies from "other" childhood vaccines? How can you continue to trust these people after what has happened to your daughter? Are you really going to keep dragging your children to the docs for more of the same? Please continue your research! you will see that ALL vaccines carry similar threats. MY heart goes out to you and yours. God bless

I whole heartedly agree with you to a point. I feel that some vaccines are worth the risk, such as polio. I have seen what polio can do to you, and think the alternative to the shot can be much worse. But, I also believe that some shot are not worth it. Such as Gardasil and the chicken pox shot.

I think (like you said) you should research every shot individually to see which ones are worth the risks and which ones are not. I will be the first one to admit that I didn't before, but I do now.

Many girls have even died from this shot. But as long as the FDA is corrupted by money from large pharmaceutical companies, they can not be trusted on anything they say.

Example: Aspartame... approved, lots of side effects and long term illnesses. Stevia... not approved, a 100% natural plant product and approved in many countries as a sweetener that causes no harm whatsoever, except that it's cheap and not made by the corporate money machine.

i wish they'd just stop being scared to tell kids in schools to just keep their freaking pants on. forget about handing out condoms, HPV gets around that anyway. Yes, it should start in the home, but it doesn't always....like my parents...never told me A THING! Kids need to hear that self respect is heroic.
