If we go back 4-5 years ago, the best midfielder of them all has to be paul scholes.He could and still can ( before he retired ) unlock defences with ease and has a great shot.He always drives forward, but because of his age, he can't run as much as he did before, and does a lot of fouls.to me, he is the best and most complete midfielder, having everything that's required for a mmidfielder:
Vision,Huge range of passing, a great shot and tactical awareness, as mell as tachling ( 4-5 years ago)

xavi is the best on the list you just gave...but if you're talking about 21st century, zinedine zidane always wins for me. master of midfield...he's got a world cup, euro, champions leaugue, and league trophies to prove it.

yes you right, srry but the titel is not really correct. it is more me opinion of best midfielders on the time I upload.( june 2009). but thanks for comment
