The Sherrys were a girl-group from Philadelphia (USA). The members were Delthine & Dinell Cook, sisters, their cousin Charlotte "Lotta" Butler Walker, and Delores "Honey" Wylie. They sang "Pop pop pop-pie" on the very popular TV program, "American Bandstand". Lotta became very famous singing with her husband, Swedish rock/pop star Svenne Hedlund.
Because their output was so small, and the records very valuable, I only have a few 45's and picture sleeves to present for your enjoyment.
I love my Aunt Honey Delores Sowell...Still doing great things today......

Can anyone supply the directions for the actual Pop Pop Pie dance?

"That Boy of Mine" is unusually good. It should have made the Top Ten in its day IMO. It sounded like a Martha and the Vandellas meld with the song "He's Sure the Boy I love" by the Crystals(?). Too bad I can't find it here.

These are all very cool. Without in any way taking away from the greatness of these, my personal favorite of theirs is, "Monk, Monk, Monkey."

Saturday Night is their best but it wasn't included for whatever reason.

Hey KarlDan, how could you leave out their best song - Saturday Night?

No wonder I couldn't find the song title...
thought it was called "The Popeye".
They couldn't use that name for copyright
reasons?

I still think "That Boy of Mine" was their best effort. Another rare 45.

pop pop popie has the the most infectious drum beat thanks in part to the studio drummer who I read was Bobby Gregg and also the hit making team of Madara and White. Teen dance music at it's BEST! These ladies were cool.
