  • @wafelsen If the blood/marrow/organ supply is sufficient at the time then there is no reason to pay anyone, but it may be useful to have the option to offer payments in a circumstance of extreme shortage, if the cost of the extra screening is worth it compared to the amount of usable blood you gain. Also, if private citizens want to pay for an organ or something that's already verified to be suitable, I don't see why not.

  • Paying people for donating blood, bone marrow or organs seems to A) set a dangerous precedent and B) has already been shown to have flaws. When most blood banks paid for donations, there were large numbers of IV drug users and other unsuitable donors who came in to donate just for the money. If you pay only for those able to donate, people will lie about their suitability. Granted, bone marrow testing has much more testing done up front, but still seems to fall prey to bad stuff.

  • Reddit, you've out done yourself [:

  • @Mrinebriation Its because most sites are liberal sites. Why not leave politics out of it and just appreciate whats been done.

  • @MsAnchy It is happening here. But paying for healthcare is one thing we want to contribute to. Lazy *beeeps* is a whole other thing.

  • @MsAnchy about public universities.. BS... Again.

And I told you about what is the problem with US healthcare... read it again or just remain ignorant.

  • @mr82769 As for Nordic economic model,I don't have to tell you how much taxes you pay,but I credit to your culture that you keep on working,in other nations first people realize that they don't have to work and just leech of welfare and more and more follow when they don't want to work to pay for other peoples laziness, happened in my country and all across EU.

  • @mr82769 No public universities teach you that best way to run the government is the exact way that government is being run now.US healthcare is far away from being free market, government cover's about a third of people directly with medicare and medicaid and about half of expenses are paid by the govt.Did USA have a problem while it was free market healthcare?,We should look at the Swiss healthcare system which is more free market then US and nobody is complaining.

  • @mr82769 How ironic that someone WITH 4 YEARS OF STATIST INDOCTRINATION AND A PIECE OF PAPER TO PROVE IT calls me "brainwashed".

Like I said, enjoy your socialism. Good day, sir.

  • @ppw00 I call BS. Pure BS.

The primary force used here in Denmark is to keep the market from distorting the health of ppl. Doctors are forced to be neutral about what medicine they recommend or write prescriptions for. Pharmacies are forced to offer cheaper generic products if they exist.

"Slaves to the government".... "But dont blur the facts about it". You need to read books instead of having the Internet brainwash you.
