Two Vehicle MVA, MedStat Air Lands on Scene

At 1:00 p.m. MedStat, the Mississippi Highway Patrol, Attala Deputies, Attala Fire and Rescue along with Sallis Volunteers responded to a two car MVA on Hwy 14 East near Goodman. Audio First responders 401 and 412 arrived on scene and advised that one vehicle had heavy damage to the side and the other to the front. Both vehicle were off the roadway. They also advised there were two patients with injuries, one serious. Responding personnel were notified that that there was no entrapments but one patient had been ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Audio Due to the severity of the injuries of one subject, MedStat Air was called to the location. The Road was completely shut down with help from Holmes Deputies and Goodman PD. Attala Fire personnel set up the portable landing zone in the roadway. Audio Chief Williams reported that they would be standing by to assist with patient loading. One subject was air lifted out. The second patient was transported to Montfort Jones Hospital by private vehicle.
