this might be a dumb question but i'll ask anyway...does it leak at all? and if so, badly enough to where i wouldn't want to use it in 40-50 F degree water?

@LandThatFish i only use mine in saltwater, ....the bay or ocean. I go in right off the surf

Just took mine out on the surf for the first time. Handled great, and hauled in a nice bluefish. great fun!

i got a Q. how shallow can it go
the Kayak has water holes that let water out of the foot and seat area if water runs over the edge. there are never leaks in the dry hatches.

I would say in some of the streams that I have been in I have floated through less than 3 inches of water. It's a tough kayak so I wouldn't be afraid to scrape it along the rocks.

I just bought 2 pelican castaways for me and my girlfriend the other day. We got a chance to take them out for the first time this past weekend and loved them. We went out on the bay and found they handled well and we're alot of fun. Im looking forward to using them alot this spring/summer. Thanks for the video!

yeah, they are great for the money and it works so well for getting into rivers and ponds that I can't get my normal boat in. Also, for those who have asked, the self bailing system works great! I love the sit on top kayak style.
