  • What do you think you run 0-60 with those mods?

  • @crowtitleist I think 4.5 is safe guess if the tires don't spin too much.

  • @a707 man sometimes i wish my 04 GT had the 3.55 in them after watching you go up to almost 40 mph in 1st. instead i bought the car with 4.10s and second is maxing out at 55 6200 rpm.

  • @iCtrlAltAssault Yeah the 3.55s work great for me, it pulls strong through the gears.

  • stock 3.55 gears?

  • @geezyfladies I was merging onto the freeway in front of people. It's just habit for me to turn my blinker on when you're supposed to, unlike most people I guess, I don't even think about it.

  • atleast he uses his blinkers... wouldnt want to get a ticket

  • @DaBluedude100 Finally, someone who dosent talk shit on a live axle. Your right, they only time ive ever encountered a problem is on pot holes and stuff. A live axle is infanitly stronger then IRS too

  • @DaBluedude100 in terms of peak capable power yea your right, but what i meant to say was the 4v would be able to reach that potential much more effectively than a 2v.

  • @550HPGTO That would be a pretty stout build. But you wouldnt get much more out of it without building the engine.

  • @sunnymuffins13208 Mach 1s were rated at 305 but they actually made somewhere between 320-335. Estimated drop off is about 14-16% to the wheels. Modifications to the 4v go a long ways quickly as ford left a lot on the table with this engine. I made 309 to the wheels with a tweaked intake manifold and a 'mystery' set of cams ford installed for a warranty engine rebuild. (they dropped a cam and damaged it. Dont know what they replaced it with but its not a stock cam.

  • @xilix only when you get on really bad roads. The live axle gets shit on a lot but its really not a bad system and it puts the power down a lot better. I bought my mach 1 over a cobra (partially) for the Solid rear axle.

  • @MRwieduwilt hey. If your on a stock shifter this is not a good sign (unless its a very slight vibration...) If its a serious vibration I would get it looked at. The stock shifter in the Mach 1 is a total piece of shit and is the first mod I ordered for my mach 1. the Steeda tri ax or MGW shifters are awesome upgrades.

  • @A4Eaton The trans will fit and the engine cradle will accept the Mach 1. Where your going to have trouble is in the brake system, cooling, and electronics.

  • @ATLcameron no the mach 1 is just a revived nameplate. Mach has nothing to do with G force. The Mach is not incredibly faster than the GT but it offers a significant number of serious performance upgrades over the GT.

  • @ATLcameron GT is short for grand touring our tourer... some people will argue turismo (italian form?) The GT cars (96-2010) are 4.6l SOHC V8 engines where the base model got a lesser V6 engine. The GT 99-04 were rated at 260hp and the newer 05-10 made 300-315 hp depending on year. Mach 1 (03-04) mustangs were rated at 305 and 315 hp but both made closer to 325hp. The Mach 1 is a significant upgrade over the GT. However a good mach 1 at 10k$ is gonna be a tough find.
