You're very correct. Many of the exercises that we grew up using since we were younger we think are "obsolete" and can't do the job anymore. This is a great excuse that some thiings will never fall out of favor in strength training.

Thanks for the question. Yes, in this clip we are using ten pound plates. I have used PVC pipes filled with sand and water too. This gets pretty intense quickly. Good form is a must and the push-up has become an under rated exercise in the modern area of "what do you bench?" Very humbling and a great exercise for coaches. Thanks for sharing.
