The Veranda has just opened for service on this pleasant 1992 morning. Hostesses walk the tills out to registers and the egg roll wagon, a condiment bar bird flies away and a nutty squirrel bounds across the floor.

  • Cooking in the Adventureland Veranda kitchen was my FIRST job at Disney World. I LOVED that place. Most of my days consisted of running ice out to the drink wagon while trying to catch the burgers as they came out of the broiler. Made a lot of great friends in College Program there! Wish I still knew how to get in touch with some of them! Thanks for upping this one widenyourworld!

  • I don't remember the upstairs was there dining up there?

    I loved the teriyaki sauce.

Good news is Kraft FINALLY after a million years has started selling that honey mustard sauce from the hamburger places like Pecos Bills as a salad dressing.

  • Teriyaki Burger and a key lime pie for desert! This was my favorite place to eat at the Magic Kingdom. Every time I walk by there, I think of eating in the outdoor section watching the people entering Adventureland and fighting the birds and squirrels for my food. I miss it!

  • Notice the balcony theming. Going up there after hours was heaven on Earth.

  • Mine too! The costumes were great and very similar in cut to the Plaza Pavilion costumes. Did you ever notice that they smelled like pretzels when you got them from costuming? Wierd but true.

  • rip teriyaki burger :-(

  • at 1:32-1:39 is a female disney supervisor who is Jackie Adams and was in Custodial but is now over Monorails. I was a wdwcp in spring 1991 and worked here in custodial. I never thought disney would close the restaurant.

  • OMG....You Rock!!! My little sister and I, now in our 40's thought we were the only people in the world who remembered, loved and still talk about those burgers and and dipping our French Fries in the terryaki/pinapple goo...it was great and it's a much missed piece of Disney. :)

  • awesome awesome clip..brings back memories of terryaki burgers with soggy pineapple and a little kikkoman...ahh the aroma of the place..

  • the costume here was my favorite, when working custodial back in '86
