I have baffled my circle of friends using your technique, if there is anyway you can post here or send me a message on the slam-smear technique I would greatly appreciate it

slam-smear refers to the combination of slamming a piece from the top of the screen down to the top of the left (or right) columns and then smearing it down-left (or down-right) into place.

I don't really have any good examples of it in this video, but at 0:19 you can see it in action. A better example would have been if there were 1 or more completed 4x4 blocks above the pink/red block, thus allowing you a longer down-right smear.

Press Up to Slam a piece down, hitting the top platform.

This is usually followed by 1 or more rotations.

The piece is now under the top platform. see 0:19 and 0:31

Hold Left-Down or Right-Down to Smear a piece down the chute while inside the chute.

The point of the diagonal hold is to allow the piece to move laterally into place the first chance it gets while quickly sliding down the chute.

Slam-Smear combo merely refers to the combination of a Slam followed by a Smear.

I was so addicted to this game in college. I remember the first time I broke 700 in sprint. Had a roomate who played it non-stop and followed high scores online. I watched him break 800 for the first time and erupted with joy, lol.
