In the turtle monument's mouth lead the bush ninja to the circular switch, kill him and make sure the bush ninja is lying on the switch. If you do that then the crystal dome will open revealing a pot with an explorer inside.

just to answer a few of you questions:
1) at the bridge to get to the idol you need to chase all the birds from the bushes and you will see the eagle statues go up or down, I can't remember. when you got them all you will have the idol.
2) at the turtles mouth you need to lead the individual in the bush over to the circular platform and when he is in it, he will keep the crystal dome open for you to get the idol. hope this helps ;)
