Crisco at the time was a Procter & Gamble product. Loretta Lynn's childhood home in Butcher Hollow/Van Lear, Kentucky, was a 200-mile, 3-1/2 hour drive to P&G's Cincinnati headquarters.

@A1l2l2e2n4 Some of us Alabama Belles still fry chicken for "special occasions" lol....like if the whole family is getting together, or for a picnic. We have to watch our girlish figures so fried chicken isn't something we can eat often. I grill mine, for the most part.
