With Mika Brzezinski cheering him on, Joe Scarborough of the low-rated MSNBC cable "news" channel attacked Bill O'Reilly and the highly-rated Fox News Channel with a bizarre claim. Scarborough clearly seemed to be feeling some pressure to defend his network's reputation after he revealed that many of its "journalist" booed President Bush's 2003 State of the Union speech. Especially since MSNBC has such low ratings.

As for everyone at Fox News other than Alan Colmes being Republican -- where is Scarborough's evidence other than his anecdotal interaction with greeters and briefers? It's also been a while since I've seen Juan Williams, Kirsten Powers, Mara Liasson, Susan Estrich, Mort Kondracke, Ellen Ratner, General Wesley Clark, Eleanor Clift, Pat Caddell, Bob Beckel, Laura Schwartz, Neal Gabler or Harold Ford flash RNC membership cards. But of course there is that ultraconservative right-wing reactionary...Geraldo Rivera. And let's not forget Kimberly Guilfoyle - the former First Lady of San Francisco. She doesn't bring her political views into her show, but I'm sure she's as much of a hack for the Republican Party as her ex-husband...Gavin Newsom. Fox News Political Analyst Geraldine Ferraro is of course well-known for her strong support of the GOP.

  • Joe Scarborough will say anything for attention (all stupid). After the first GOP debate, he defended Bachmann, saying she looked in command. Later, he said "...anybody that sits here and says she has any chance of winning anything is out of their mind. Take your straw poll, take your caucus, but Iowa, if you let her win, you prove your irrelevance .." The only stance I see Scarborough taking is one of publicity-seeking and hate-mongering.

  • "he highly-rated Fox News Channel with a bizarre claim."

    HIGHLY.

    RATED.

    OYG AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    BETTER THAN THE FUCKING VIDEO.

  • Ehhh. He's not really attacking Fox News, he is just stating fact. He said it himself, there is nothing wrong with expressing your opinion, which Fox does in narrative-as-fact, he just favors transparency. He also simply points out that they are made up of republicans and conservatives, and are themselves biased.

Hey, nothing really wrong with that. I'm a left-wing radical myself. He just says be honest about it. Usually, I could take or leave Joe, but I agree.

  • @ohioian56 hahahahaha loser

  • there must be at least 33 people that watch joe scarboro regularly

  • @Swishdball Fuck you tiny brain libtard socialist, commie motherfucker

  • @FibeDaraEggurow Both of your posts are well put. Couldn't have said it better myself. Bravo.

  • ...manufacture controversies such as the Shirley Sherrod debacle to gain viewership of people who would otherwise not watch news at all. MSNBC has low ratings because it has been blacklisted as a liberal-only news channel by our friends at FOX. This is not true, however. MSNBC is made up of mainly liberal commentators who are able to both state their personal opinions, then move on to report the news with fairness and integrity. That is musch more than "fair and balanced" FOX can claim to do.

  • All of you the say "OREILLY SHOULD KILL HIMSELF" or "Fuck FOX News" are not contributing anything at all to the discussion.Maybe a better way to voice your opinion would be to put forth a real argument. So here I go: FOX News has more viewers than MSNBC because FOX "News" is barely even a news channel. They fill their space with entertainment-driven variety shows such as Hannity and Colmes (particularly the Hannity part) and... (to be continued)
