Don't say what he should do with his life. He is a human being like you and me. We all have issues whether they be about money, relationships, mental illness, disabilities, work... etc Labels mean absolutely nothing when reality hits you in the face and you just have to live with it.
Its life's way of saying happiness comes first and we all have a right to be happy whatever it takes.
If Derek likes playing with this band that's what comes first.

loveisnow2, the Jazz katz do a wonderfull job of keeping up with Derek.
Derek has recently been on a short tour with the Emerald Ensemble Chamber Orchestra. They had to rehearse quite a lot to keep up with his repetiore.
