MegaGrinder Rev. C

5448 items/hr.

53% Smaller than Rev. B!

Download Rev. B here:

For Rev. D, I want to push the efficiency even further. Any ideas?

  • @TheBigNegus Well, look up "the orb minecraft trap" to actually see the video

  • Look up "The Orb" on YT. Using water streams to carry monsters is obsolete with the method you see in that video

  • Whats the Dimensions? is it 272x272 still

  • @Lynnsdizzy only now?

  • What texture pack is that

  • hax =3

  • @JimmySal1 I already have a working mob trap that collects about 3200+ items/hr. It takes around 10 hours to build, so it's nothing like this beast, but I see the major problem in your design being it relies on horizontal space. A vertical mob tower is much more efficient. Relating to your tap, each tower would work as a cell, centred above one grinder for maximum reward for effort. After the traps being reaching the limit too quickly, the collection rate stops going up, which is where you're at

  • where did you get the patience lol

  • @jonatcer Absolutely. I have 2 main goals for future revisions. First, I want to continue refining the design to maximize the output. Second, I want to either miniaturize or otherwise refine the design to make it more readily buildable in SSP or SMP. To your point, this endeavor would be an epic failure in my book if MegaGrinder was never built legitimately. Once the design is refined enough I will be putting together a team for an SMP build, or worst case scenario doing it myself.

  • @Lynnsdizzy It sounds like it's Samuel Barber (The creator of the original) not Tietso.

That aside, holy crap @JimmySal1 - nice job... Have you thought about making it more easily reproducible without cheats, rather than getting the count higher per cell? You may be able to get past 6k items/hour, but what's the point if it can never be made outside of an editor?
