  • @DoesNotExist305 I get you want to talk stats, so lets talk stats.

Montana's Yards per Attempt and Average Yards Per Attempt are 7.5 and 7.4 respectively. Marino's are 7.3 and 7.0. Marino threw 2967 more passes than Montana, almost 3,000 more, so of course he'll have more yards! Montana has a higher completion percentage and rating in the regular season, playoffs, and Super Bowl. Montana is the better quarterback and the best quarterback ever.

  • I'm a cowboys fan. Hate the 49ers. Montana broke my heart. I remember watching his last SB against the Bengals. The 49ers were 88 yds away from winning. I asked everyone in the room if they wanted to bet 20 bucks against him winning this game. No one took me up. He was the greatest QB of all time. 2nd place isn't even close. He made QBing look easy. I hated that guy but I even had to admit he was and is the greatest QB of all time.

  • In football there is no such a thing as the greatest QB of all time because the game is constantly changing.Joe was the best of his time,Otto Graham was the best of his time ect..Its too difficult to compare players from different era.In Basketball it's easy, boxing is easy, soccer is easy, but not football where the rule is constantly changing,You can only be the best of your time.

  • The pass opens up the run All day

  • Quaterback is a typographical error.

    Qua(r)terback.

  • winning championships is all that matters. same thing goes for any sport. jordan is the greatest basketball player because of his six rings, and montana has more rings than brady, manning, marino, elway, any of em. so he is the greatest of all time.

  • Joe Montana is the Muhammad Ali of Quarterbacks. AKA the GOAT.

  • @mmarinos83 You make it sound like QBs only care about stats. That's pretty insulting lol

  • @MrMferg240 I dont think you can compare today's game because the rules benefit passing big time. Its too imbalanced now. The NFL has fucked it up.

  • @Potandthekettle i agree, but was it any different than what tom brady had for running backs?

  • @7thlutz ok right. you can tell now how well brady is often protected. there's a vid called 'brady has all the time in the world' here on youtube. still, his passes are often extremely accurate.
