on this, our nation's 235'th birthday, I chose to spend the morning at Monticello, the home of one of our nation's founders, Thomas Jefferson. Today marked the 48th annual Naturalization ceremony held at Monticello, where 71 immigrants from countries like Pakistan, El Salvador, Panama, Ethiopia, Uzbekistan, Columbia, Jamaica, Germany, China, India, Burma, Russia, Honduras, Venezuela, Peru, South Africa, Nepal, United Kingdom, Bolivia, Belgium, Canada, Afganistan, Sierra Leone, Ukraine, Brazil, Philippines, Korea, Vietnam, Armenia, Ghana, Netherlands, Azerbaijan and Guatemala attained their citizenship.
This vid, is of their citizenship oath.
It was my distinct honor to be able to attend, observe, and share in this momentous, moving, poignant occasion.
