Contact - Title Theme - Alan Silvestri - Carl Sagan - Piano Cover

The Main Theme from the Hollywood Film - Contact - 1997 - with soundtrack composed by Alan Silvestri. The science fiction film is based on a book written by Carl Sagan on the possibility of contact with alien intelligence. The main role is played by Jodie Foster (as scientist - Dr Ellie Arroway). During the climax of the film she is transported by a space-time machine through ancient wormholes to a distance solar system for the first "contact" with alien life. The haunting music is used to great effect during these closing sequences on a virtual false colour ocean on a planet in outer space. I've watched the film several times and adore the computer animation effects during the time-space travel sequence which is really awesome!

The title theme from Contact is performed in this recording by Denise Hewitt on a Technics PR903 Digital Piano.

My opinion is that you should use just

Piano... and I want to be honest with you,

add some feeling not just reading the notes...

I take it, Miss Hewitt, that you're a Sagan fan, or is it just his choice of background music. His selections do seem very appropriate to his videos. The "Contact Main Theme" (I want to call it "Ellie's Theme," as it mostly seems to occur during her personal moments. I was a bit surprised at your sound at first, but came to enjoy it very much. It almost seemed more haunting than the original. Nice work. Dave F.

allright, i don't really like the sound but ather wis .. it really sound like in a movie .

but if you close your eyes ,you wound't say it is a piano playing.but it's still beautifull .
