For those new to publishing a scholarly work, it can be daunting task. A panel of experts familiar with editing, promotion and funding for publication offer advice to academics new to the publishing world, and explain the journey from manuscript to published book. From left to right: Kel Morin-Parsons, manager of the CFHSS Aid to Scholarly Publications Program (ASPP); Siobhan McMenemy, acquisitions editor at University of Toronto Press; Ryan Van Huijstee, publicist at McGill-Queen's University Press; Kyla Madden, editor at McGill-Queen's University Press; and Peter Midgley, senior acquisitions editor at University of Alberta Press.
