The project was to do a 10 minute film and it had to have a story of some sort. I picked this out of my short stories since it didn't require too much in the way of sets/special effects.
It was originally to have voiceover to help the story along, but I didn't care for the sound of my voice and left it out, creating a confusing exercise for the viewer: The character continues Project Kiosk at home, successfully transporting an object to a parallel universe. He creates an implant to transport himself, successfully doing so a year later, finding himself in a foreign environment (wife/girlfriend stranger upon waking). He decides to check out the web to see what's different about this universe and is shocked to find out about various events. Deciding that he most definitely doesn't want to stay, he decides to reset the implant and return home, only to find that the implant is no longer there!
This was made in December 2008. It took about 5-6 hours to film using a Sony Handycam; about 4 hours of capture and something like 8-10 hours of editing with Adobe Premiere Pro CS3.
Wow. That's a badass movie. :D
