Here's a little clip of Erica hooping to one of her current favorites, Avril Lavigne. Erica has grown up in the magical presence of the Carrboro hooping community. She demonstrates some very characteristic Hoop Path moves in her Samurai style, current changes and (I love this) incorporating Point at the end of the song. In that respect, she shows the influence of Jonathan Baxter, our resident Hoop Path instructor. I can also see the influence of the lovely Julia and Spiral in her spinning flow.

97! Goodness. It's actually a good job I'm not coming. I don't think I could cope with that. We need to get HP6 moved again. Earlier than last year!

@SusanWilkinson Sue, we are really going to miss you this week. Take consolation in the fact that it is going to be 97 degrees. And please come a visit us in the fall. I have some ideas in mind.

She usually uses 31" diameter hoops made from 1/2" irrigation pipe. Good luck getting the right hoop for your daughter. It's a wonderful thing.
