The Hot Rod is a classic Wizard's Prop, but Blaine Harris has taken this simple trick and returned it to it's rightful elegance with his hand crafted SUPER HOT ROD. I've uploaded this video to demonstrate how effective this simple "trick" can be when presented in a magical fashion. I perform this routine several times almost every day and I can guarantee that people love seeing this lovely and unusual magical artifact and are completely perplexed by the magic. By the way, I'll remove any comments that expose the method of the standard hot rod. The point of this video is to remind people that classics are classic for a reason. I wanted to focus more of the reactions than the effect itself. For more information on my Hot Rod Routine, including the Vanish at the end, visit www.thevillagewizard.com after 10/1/08. Happy Wizarding and use your powers only for good!

  • great trick -too bad we can't see most of it because the camera operator was too distracted by the girls...

  • LOL! Actually, that was at my direction. They were an attractive audience (both boys & girls), but the real issue was that I wanted to show the reactions. Many magicians don't fully appreciate this trick because there are so many cheap plastic versions. I almost always get reactions like this with my routine, so I wanted to feature the audience more than the "trick". Most of my moves are pretty well known. The Vanish is the only thing that I do that is particularly novel.

    Thx 4 watching

  • i have this trick (one of the cheap one of course) mine has a clear body but the fake gems are not as sparkly like yours is. can you post some links to your provider or if you have a website your store, i would be glad to purchase them online. Thanks my fellow Magician. =D

  • A classic. I still have a 70s-era one my dad bought me back in the 70s from Archie's Fun Shop in Houston, Texas. A few years after, they showed me a brand new "deluxe" variation that I didn't buy, but wanted. It allowed the prop to be handed out at the end with both sides matching. I have not seen it since.
