Kingswood-Oxford School welcomed pediatric urologic surgeon Christina Kim, M.D., as the first guest of the Harry E. Goldfarb Speaker Series Thursday, Feb. 25 in K-Os Tomasso Arena.

Kim, the director of clinical affairs and residency site director at Connecticut Childrens Medical Center, spoke to students and faculty about pediatric robotic surgery. She also addressed the merger of science, medicine and technology.

Kim received her B.S. and M.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She completed a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh and internships in surgery and urology at the University of Connecticut. She also serves as an assistant professor of pediatric urologic surgery at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.

The Harry E. Goldfarb Directorship at Kingswood-Oxford School was designed to oversee collaborative teaching and research among faculty members of the science, math and technology disciplines, including the engagement of speakers to inspire students in science and medical careers. It was created by William H. Goldfarb, a 1964 graduate of Kingswood, and his brother, Robert B. Goldfarb, in honor of their late father, Harry E. Goldfarb.
